About Ottobock Ireland
Ottobock Ireland is specialist manufacturer and supplier of prostheses and orthoses, providing a service initially to Cappagh Hospital and the Central Remedial Clinic but now to hospitals and health boards throughout Ireland. Ottobock Ireland has been part of the Ottobock group since 1999 but has provided a prosthetic and orthotic service for over 25 years from its main campus in Cappagh Hospital in Finglas, Dublin.
Since its founding in Berlin in 1919, Ottobock has pursued a vision: to improve the mobility of people with disabilities through innovative products. In doing so, the company equates quality with 'Quality for life': the quality of life enjoyed by the people who use Ottobock products every day. People at the centre, their individuality and requirements and needs with respect to functionality, quality as well as design form the basis for the company's enduring capability of innovation.
Ottobock Ireland also has a strong association with the Royal college of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI), and provide the prosthetic and orthotic modules for the orthopaedic surgical registrar training scheme.
